Financial Aid Information

The FAFSA form is needed to help determine eligibility for federal and state financial aid for a student. The 2024-2025 FAFSA (for the Class of 2024) will become available in mid to late December 2023. For more information, click here to visit the FAFSA website.

Scholarship Information

Mrs. Campman will be uploading all scholarships that come through the counselors’ offices to this page. Our hope is that this makes scholarship information more accessible to all of our students and their families. Please see below for currently available scholarships and continue to check this site often; it will be updated with new scholarships as they are shared with the Counseling Office. Scholarships are in order of deadline, starting with most recent. Click on the scholarship link below for information and/or the actual application in order to apply.

  • Lycoming Audubon Student Award, Deadline: March 1, 2024 – Open to students in Lycoming County who have demonstrated an interest in and action with birds and the environment or natural world. Preference will be given to students who at any time during the year have been engaged with LAS, including, but not limited to field trips, Chapter programs, tabling events, road clean-up, Earth Day advocacy, etc. Special consideration may also be given to students who wish to defray the costs of conservation workshops, ornithology conferences, Audubon Leadership Camps, or similar experiences.
  • Edward W. Claudius Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: March 11, 2024 – This award will be given to a graduating senior from a Lycoming County high school who will be attending the Pennsylvania State University (any campus, but not Penn College) in the fall of 2024 for a four-year degree program. Applicants must submit an application and an essay.
  • Fairfield/Dick Staib Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: March 28, 2024 – Open to 2024 graduating high school seniors residing in Lycoming County, who in Fall of 2024 will be attending a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
  • Loyalsock Township Education Association Scholarship, Deadline: March 29, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who intend to pursue a degree in education.
  • Robert E. Barbour Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024Open to seniors in Lycoming County high schools who plan to pursue a career as a pharmacist. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • CAG Supporting Momentum Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to seniors in Lycoming County high schools who plan to attend an accredited institution of higher education and have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B). This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • FCFP Regional Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024Open to graduating students from a high school (public, private, parochial, or home-schooled) located in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, or Union County who plan to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school that offers a two (2) or four (4) year degree or certification program. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • Mary Ann Fox Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to seniors in Clinton or Lycoming County who are planning to attend full-time one of the following: Lock Haven University, Bucknell University, Lycoming College, Pennsylvania College of Technology or Pennsylvania State University.
  • ISCALC International ScholarshipDeadline: April 1, 2024Open to seniors in Lycoming County who plan to pursue major coursework in the area of international studies, including but not limited to international affairs, foreign languages, overseas exchange programs, multicultural studies, or related areas. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • Kenneth and Marcia Johnson Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to seniors who reside in Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Tioga, Snyder, Sullivan, or Union County. Applicants must be accepted or currently enrolled into either a full-time accredited undergraduate degree program or accredited technical/trade school and have a demonstrated financial need. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • Richard P. Lauchle Forestry Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to students accepted or currently enrolled in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Forest Technology program or accepted or currently enrolled in any other accredited Forest Technology program. Student must be a current resident of Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Sullivan or Union Counties of Pennsylvania. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • Tim Lichter Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to seniors who will attend, part-time or full-time, an accredited motorcycle mechanic school. Additional consideration will be given for automotive technology, service technician, or welding. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • Jody Lea Loudenslager Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to seniors in Lycoming County who are a current Glenn O. Hawbaker employee or a child of a current Glenn O. Hawbaker employee. Student must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher education. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • Albert and Alice Nacinovich Music Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to seniors in Lycoming County who plan to pursue a degree in music education or a music-related field of study and have maintained a grade point average of 80 or higher. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • Shirley Gray Rightmire Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024Open to seniors in Lycoming County high schools who plan to pursue a degree in Education. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
  • Dr. Wayne F. Rose Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who plan to pursue a degree in education. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
  • T-Ross Brothers Construction Scholarship I and II, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to seniors from a high school in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder or Union County who plan to attend an accredited college/university, vocational school or trade school and pursue a degree in a construction-related field of study. Must have maintained at least a B average. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • Raymond E. Venema Jr. Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: April 1, 2024 – Open to seniors in Lycoming County who plan to attend or currently attend an accredited college, university, or vocational institution of higher education to pursue a degree in a construction-related field of study. Must have achieved a B average. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award). 
  • ESS Scholarship, Deadline: April 5, 2024 – Open to LTHS students who plan to have a career in education. Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
  • Richard L. & Miriam L. Swan Mix Student Historical Award, Deadline: April 5, 2024 – Open to any senior in a Lycoming County high school. Student must visit the Thomas T. Taber Museum (858 W. Fourth Street, Williamsport, PA) and write an essay.
  • Carl E. Stotz Little League Baseball Scholarship, Deadline: April 5, 2024 – Open to seniors at LTHS who rank within the top 25% of students in the Class of 2024.
  • Williamsport Women’s Tennis League Award, Deadline: April 5, 2024 – Open to a senior Lycoming County female student that participates on the high school tennis team, plans to enroll in a post-secondary institution, and has at least a 2.5 GPA.
  • American Legion Post #1 Scholarship, Deadline: April 11, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors. Recipient must be of good moral character, have a good academic record, and have demonstrated public service to the school and/or community.
  • Loyalsock Township Lions Club Scholarship, Deadline: April 11, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors planning to attend a two or a four-year college. The recipients must be of good moral character, show a need, have a good academic record, and have demonstrated public service to the school and/or community.
  • Hailey L. Bilbay Scholarship, Deadline: April 12, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who intend to pursue a degree in a health or medical-related field.
  • Walter “Bud” Black Memorial Award, Deadline: April 12, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who have demonstrated courage, a caring and cooperative attitude, and a generous spirit.
  • The DiMarco Scholarship Award, Deadline: April 12, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA who have learned the art of “balance” between their academics, involvement in school extracurricular activities, and an outside-of-school activity (this can include a part-time job, volunteerism, and/or an activity/leadership role that takes up a lot of time). Applicants must plan to pursue a degree at a 2 or 4-year school/program.
  • Kay Ertel Scholarship, Deadline: April 12, 2024 – Open to senior girls in Lycoming County who are interested in public service and plan to pursue a degree after graduation.
  • Richard C. Haas Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: April 12, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who exemplify leadership in our school and local community.
  • The Christian Houghtaling Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: April 12, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who are involved in the LTHS band and have an overall GPA of a 90% or higher.
  • The Jack F. Kettler Jr. Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: April 12, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who have earned a minimum of a 90% overall GPA (weighted) and have played a sport for LTHS during their time in high school. The senior who receives this award must plan on attending a four year college or university.
  • Shuman Miller Memorial Award, Deadline: April 12, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who have demonstrated servant leadership by volunteering and participating in community service that improves the lives of others.
  • Ronald S. Warren Social Studies Award, Deadline: April 12, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who have a 90% or higher GPA in their Social Studies coursework.
  • Loyalsock Township Education Support Professionals Award, Deadline: April 15, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who have been enrolled for the entire 2023-2024 school year. Applicants must be planning to attend an institution of higher learning after graduation.
  • Road to Safety Scholarship, Deadline: April 15, 2024 – Open to college-bound Pennsylvania high school seniors. Students may enter the contest by submitting a creative project that sends a memorable message about the dangers of drunk driving or distracted driving.
  • Dempsey Family Scholarship, Deadline: April 19, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors. Emphasis will be on school participation (athletics, extracurricular activities, etc.) and/or community service.
  • Military Service Appreciation Award, Deadline: April 19, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who are committed to joining any branch of the military upon graduation, including: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Space Force, Coast Guard, or National Guard.
  • Robert W. Grantier Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: April 26, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who are in good academic standing and possess strong leadership qualities in both the school and our community.
  • Lester L. Greevy Memorial Athletic Scholarship, Deadline: April 26, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who have demonstrated leadership, enthusiasm, dedication, courage, and have lettered in a varsity sport at LTHS.
  • Loyalsock Odyssey of the Mind Senior Award, Deadline: April 26, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who have participated as a Loyalsock Odyssey of the Mind team member for a total of three years. The years do not have to be consecutive and can be any time between Kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Nissa Myers Memorial Scholarship, Deadline: April 26, 2024 – Open to LTHS seniors who have an overall GPA of a 2.7 or higher and treats others with respect and empathy. To be eligible, applicants must be planning to further their education in the fall of 2024 and majoring in one of the following: education, health/medical field, or an animal health profession.
