Our  Vision

All English and reading teachers in the Loyalsock Township School District will strive to foster, in all students, life-long habits of:

  • Reading that is enjoyable, informed, critical and diverse
  • Writing that is fluent, lively, richly textured and grammatically correct
  • Public speaking that is clear and confident
  • Listening that is accurate, attentive and discriminating.
Graduation
Four credits in English are required for graduation. One credit must be taken at each grade level, nine through twelve.  Students are encouraged to consult with their present English teacher for guidance in selecting the proper course for next year. Options by grade level include the following:
  • Grade 9:  Academic, Honors
  • Grade 10:  Academic, Honors
  • Grade 11:  Academic, Honors
  • Grade 12:  Academic, Honors
