We’re excited you’ve chosen to join the Lancer family. Whether you’re enrolling a new student, registering your child for kindergarten or applying for Little Lancer Pre-K, you’ll find everything you need below to get started.

This page will guide you through each step of the enrollment process, from reviewing registration requirements and gathering the necessary documents to completing online pre-registration and scheduling your appointment with our Central Registration Office.

When you’re ready, simply begin by reviewing the information below and selecting the registration option that best matches your child’s enrollment.


Getting Started

Who Can Enroll?
A parent, legal guardian or court-appointed guardian who resides within the Loyalsock Township School District may enroll a student. Enrollment exceptions are available for students experiencing homelessness, those in foster care, migrant students and other circumstances as provided by state and federal law. Families with questions about eligibility are encouraged to contact the Central Registration Office for assistance.

Before You Begin
We encourage families to review the registration information and required documents before starting the online enrollment process. Registration packets are available online or may be picked up at the District Service Center during regular office hours.

All student registration is coordinated, by appointment only, through the District Service Center, 1605 Four Mile Dr., Williamsport, PA 17701.

The Enrollment Process

Getting started is easy! Simply follow these five steps:

  1. Review the registration information below.
  2. Gather your required enrollment documents.
  3. Complete the online pre-registration form.
  4. Attend your registration appointment with the Central Registration Office.
  5. Welcome to the Lancer family!

Registration Options

New & Returning Students

Families enrolling a new or returning student should complete the online pre-registration process before scheduling an appointment with the Central Registration Office.

We encourage you to review the Enrollment Information Packet, which includes important information, required forms and step-by-step instructions for completing online registration.

Before beginning the registration process, please have the following documents available:

  • Student’s birth certificate
  • Parent or guardian photo ID
  • Current immunization records
  • Custody documents (if applicable)
  • Previous school records or transcript (if applicable)
  • Proof of residency (please provide any two from the list below):
    • A current deed
    • A mortgage statement (no more than three months old)
    • An active residential lease agreement (no more than three months old) 
    • A utility bill (no more than three months old)
    • An internet bill (no more than three months old)
    • A credit card statement (no more than three months old)
    • A bank statement (no more than three months old)
    • A tax bill (no more than three months old)
    • An insurance document (no more than three months old)
    • A piece of mail sent in the past three months by federal or state government such as benefits information, voter registration, or tax documents.

Online Registration

New to LTSD? Click the Online Pre-Registration Portal button below. On the login page, select “Online Registration” to begin creating your student’s enrollment.

Already have a student at LTSD? Log in to your Parent Portal account and select “Register New Student” to enroll an additional child. When registering another student, please use your existing parent contacts. If you need to update your contact information before beginning the registration process, please contact the Central Registration Office for assistance.

After completing online pre-registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email indicating that your registration has been submitted successfully. Within approximately 72 hours, the Central Registration Office will contact you to schedule your registration appointment.

Enrollment Information Packet

Kindergarten Registration

Children entering kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31 of the school year in which they will enroll.

Registration typically opens January 15 for the upcoming school year. Families are encouraged to complete the registration process as early as possible to ensure a smooth start to the school year.

Getting Started:

Begin by reviewing the Kindergarten Registration Packet, which includes important registration information, required forms and instructions for completing the online registration process.

Once you’ve completed online pre-registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Within approximately 72 hours, the Central Registration Office will contact you to schedule an appointment to verify your information and collect your required documents.

Please note: Your child’s registration is not complete until a parent or guardian meets with the Central Registration Office and submits all required documentation.

  • Current immunization records
  • Custody documentation (if applicable)

Little Lancer Pre-K Application Process

The Little Lancer Pre-K program is designed for children who are 4 years old and provides a strong foundation for future learning in a caring, engaging environment.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Families will be notified within approximately 10 days after all application materials have been received regarding their child’s eligibility and placement.

Getting Started:

To apply, parents or guardians should complete the Little Lancer Pre-K application and submit the required documentation. Applications may be completed at the District Service Center, located at 1605 Four Mile Drive, Williamsport, by appointment only.

Required Documents:

Please bring the following items when submitting your application:

  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Child’s Social Security card or Social Security number (as listed on a tax return)
  • Parent or guardian photo ID
  • Proof of residency (lease agreement, mortgage statement, utility bill or tax statement)
  • Most recent Federal Income Tax Return for all adults (18 and older) residing in the household (please bring only the first two pages of Form 1040)

Helpful, But Not Required

If available, please also bring copies of your child’s:

  • Immunization records
  • Physical examination
  • Vision screening
  • Hearing screening
  • Dental screening

What Happens Next?

After all application materials have been received, families will be notified within approximately 10 days if their child:

  • Qualifies for program placement
  • Has been placed on the prioritized waiting list
  • Is not eligible for the program

Families whose children qualify will receive the enrollment packet during the application process. Enrollment is complete once all required enrollment documents have been submitted.

Ready to begin?

Complete your student’s online pre-registration to start the enrollment process. The Central Registration Office will contact you to schedule your registration appointment within approximately 72 hours after submission.

New to LTSD? Select “Online Registration” located below the Parent Portal login to begin creating your student’s registration.

Current LTSD families: Log in to your Parent Portal account and select “Register New Student” from your home screen to enroll an additional child.

Completing the online pre-registration form is the first step in the enrollment process. Your child’s enrollment is not complete until all required documents have been verified by the Central Registration Office.

 

Tips for a Succesful Registration

To help ensure a smooth online registration experience, we recommend the following:

  • Use Google Chrome for the best experience.
  • Complete your registration within 60 minutes to avoid your session timing out due to inactivity.
  • Use a reliable internet connection while completing your application.
  • If you receive an error message, it is often related to an internet connectivity issue. Please try again after checking your connection.

Adding a Student to Your Existing Parent Portal Account
If you’re registering an additional student, please use the same parent or guardian contacts that are already associated with your current students. If you need to update your contact information before beginning the registration process, please contact the Central Registration Office for assistance.

Emergency Contact Order
When entering emergency contacts, please list them in the order you would like them to be contacted (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.). This helps ensure the district contacts the appropriate individuals in your preferred order.

Need to Update Your Student’s Information?

Student Withdrawal

If your family is moving or your student will no longer attend the LTSD, please notify your child’s school as soon as possible. To begin the withdrawal process, contact the main office of the school your child currently attends. The school staff will assist you with completing the necessary paperwork and coordinating the transfer of records.

Change of Address

Have you recently moved? To ensure your student’s records, transportation information and emergency contacts remain accurate, please notify the district as soon as possible.

Please note: Proof of your new address is required before changes can be made to your student’s address or transportation arrangements.
