Loyalsock Township School District Distinguished Alumni Award
Purpose:
The Loyalsock Township School District Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes the achievement of Loyalsock High School Alumni. These alumni serve as motivation for current students to excel, remind our faculty of the potential that each student has to make the community better, re-connects alumni to the schools and brings the community together to celebrate the pride of our community and honor the achievement of the individuals recognized.
Criteria:
- Must be a Loyalsock Township School District graduate at least 15 years prior to nomination.
- Nominees will have distinguished themselves through their work, personal accomplishments, and in the lives of others.
- Award may be given posthumously.
- Nominees must be in good standing in their community, past and present.
- Once a nomination is made, it will be considered on an annual basis for 3 years.
- Nominee must be able to commit to an engagement with the community and the school district and will cover his/her travel expenses.
Recognition Events:
Upon selection, the distinguished alumni will be celebrated in the fall season. Included in the celebration may be recognition by The Lancer Foundation at a formal event held in the community. In addition, the distinguished alumni may be recognized by the Loyalsock Township School District as a portrait will be placed in the lobby of the high school. The distinguished alumni will also have time to meet with students and staff members during a day visit to Loyalsock Schools. This will be coordinated with the building principals.
The Nomination and Selection Process:

The deadline for receiving completed forms is August 1, 2025.
The selection process for the Loyalsock Township School District Distinguished Alumni Award will consist of review based on a quantitative measure and recommendation from a selection of high school teachers, administrators, and The Lancer Foundation Board members.
Applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision no later than October 1, 2025.
