Wellness Mission

To develop health-promoting knowledge, attitudes and behaviors among all members of our school community and maintain a work-site climate that fosters well-being within the context of a coordinated school health program. “Promoting Healthy Youth, Schools, and Communities”

Wellness Team Meeting Dates

All meetings will be held at the Middle/High School Library and begin at 3:45 p.m.  If you are not currently on our Wellness Team, but are interested in becoming a team member, please contact Beth Hufnagel or Jamie Sortman.  We welcome the general public, students, parents, teachers, school health professionals, administrators, school board members and all members of our school community to join our team!

  • Embrace Your Path (Health Incentive Program) August 1, 2024- July 31, 2025
  • Sock Health & Wellness Day – August 21, 2024 – 8am-12pm – MS/HS Gym, HS Courtyard, Various HS Classrooms, HS Auditorium – Mandatory Session for all faculty & Staff 9am-9:45am HS Auditorium
  • Biometric Screenings (Free to eligible employees & spouses) – online registration
    • Wednesday, October 16 – DES 6:30am-9:00am
    • Tuesday, November 19 – MS – 6:00am-9:00am
    • Wednesday, November 20 – HS – 6:00am-9:00am
  • Flu Shots (Free to insurance participants) – MUST BRING INSURANCE CARD

  • Red Out Day – Wednesday February 14, 2025 – ALL SCHOOLS – Wear red to raise awareness of the importance of taking care of your heart in order to prevent heart disease, the leading cause of death in the U.S. Show your heart some love by eating healthy, being active every day, staying at a healthy weight, getting plenty of sleep and managing stress.
  • Lunch & Learn 
    • Wednesday, March 19, 2025, 11am-1pm – MS/HS
    • Thursday, March 20, 2025, 11am-1pm – DES  
  • Red Heart Campaign – District Wide Promotion of Heart Health Awareness – All staff and students are able to make a donation for a red heart during the month of February.  All donations are given the American Heart Association. Please see your office staff!
