About Us

Loyalsock Township School District serves a close-knit community spanning just over 21 square miles in Lycoming County. Our district is home to three schools: Donald E. Schick Elementary School (grades K–5), Loyalsock Township Middle School (grades 6–8), and Loyalsock Township High School (grades 9–12). Together, these schools provide a supportive, connected learning environment where students are known, valued, and encouraged to grow.

With approximately 1,550 students, Loyalsock offers the benefits of a small, personalized setting paired with the opportunities of a high-performing district. Our dedicated team includes administrators, classroom teachers, a librarian, learning and reading specialists, school counselors, psychologists, nurses, and speech and hearing specialists. Paraprofessionals provide additional support to ensure every student’s needs are met. The district also partners with BLaST Intermediate Unit to enhance specialized services.

Loyalsock students benefit from a rigorous, relevant, standards-based curriculum designed to prepare them for success beyond graduation. Our students consistently achieve at high levels on state assessments, including the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA), and continue to excel in college readiness indicators. The district is proud of its above-average SAT performance, strong Advanced Placement participation and achievement, and a high percentage of graduates pursuing postsecondary education.

Tax Office

The tax office is located at 2132 Northway Road (across from the Loyalsock Township Community Swimming Pool, 1/4 mile north of Four Mile Dr.). All Real Estate taxes for Loyalsock Township (county, township and school) are collected at this office. Phone numbers for the office:

Regular public office hours are held Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additional hours are added at or near the end of the discount period. These usually include two days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
