General Scholarships:
All students can start searching for scholarships as early as they want! Check out some general tips from PHEAA: Scholarship Tips PHEAA. Students can visit sites like Fastweb.com , GoingMerry.com , and others shared on the PHEAA tip page to start exploring available scholarship opportunities. These websites will ask students to create a free, personal profile. Once completed, they will send details on specific scholarships that you could be eligible for based on the information provided in your profile.
Local Senior Scholarships:
All senior-specific scholarships that come through the counselors’ offices will be uploaded to this page. Mrs. Campman will begin updating scholarship information for our current seniors in late 2025. She will send out Parent/Student Square posts and email updates as scholarships are added. Be sure to check this site often as updates will be posted regularly throughout the Winter/Spring. Scholarships are in order of deadline. Jack Zeigler and Mike Schwarz Scholarship (Deadline: January 7, 2026): – Open to LTHS seniors who have at least a 3.0 GPA, a verified post-secondary education entrance test score (SAT or ACT), and have earned at least one varsity letter in a PIAA-recognized sport.PHAC Scholarship (Deadline: January 16, 2026): Open to LTHS seniors who have at least a 3.0 GPA, a verified post-secondary education entrance test score (SAT or ACT), and have earned at least one varsity letter in a PIAA-recognized sport.- First Commonwealth Bank Scholarship, (Deadline: February 27, 2026): Open to seniors with a minimum GPA of an 85%.
- Richard L. & Miriam L. Swan Mix Student Historian Award (Deadline: February 27, 2026): Open to any senior attending school in Lycoming County who is willing to visit the Thomas T. Taber Museum, view the galleries, and submit one original essay based on their visit. Essays become the property of the Lycoming County Historical Society and will not be returned. The selected student will receive a $500 award.
- Hermine Solt Student Scholarship, (Deadline: March 1, 2026): This award is given to a senior in Pennsylvania who plans to pursue higher education in a business-related field. Student must plan to attend two or four-year post-secondary institution, college, or university in the fall of 2026.
- Edward W. Claudius Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: March 9, 2026): This award will be given to a graduating senior from a Lycoming County high school who will be attending the Pennsylvania State University (any campus, but not Penn College) in the fall of 2025 for a four-year degree program. Applicants must submit an application and an essay.
- The Frerichs Scholarship, (Deadline: March 13, 2026) – Open to high school seniors in a public education school in Pennsylvania who are planning to enroll in an education-related major at a Pennsylvania State System school and have a demonstrated track record of leadership during their high school tenure.
- Line Mountain Scholarship (Deadline: March 13, 2026): Open to students who have participated in Odyssey of the Mind (OM) at any point. Applicants do not need to be currently on an OM team.
- The Marcus Scholarship, (Deadline: March 13, 2026) – Open to high school seniors in a public education school in Pennsylvania who are planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in public safety, criminology, forensics or other law-enforcement/safety majors.
- The H.H. Quimby Scholarship, (Deadline: March 13, 2026) – Open to high school seniors in a public education school in Pennsylvania who have demonstrated a track record of leadership and service during their high school tenure and plan to pursue a degree focused on policy, political science, advocacy or non-profit management.
- The Swope Scholarship, (Deadline: March 13, 2026) – Open to high school seniors in a public education school in Pennsylvania who are planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the arts.
- Williamsport Music Club/Budd Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: March 13, 2026): Open to Lycoming County seniors who are planning to continue studying or actively participate in music at college. Qualified vocal or instrumental students may apply.
- Creative Opportunities Unlimited Odyssey Visionary Scholarship (Deadline: March 15, 2026): Open to students involved in Odyssey of the Mind who demonstrate creativity, innovation, and visionary thinking.
- Wayne R. Kehrli Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: March 15, 2026): Open to Odyssey of the Mind participants who exemplify dedication, leadership, and commitment to creative problem-solving.
- Harold Kurtz Odyssey Scholarship (Deadline: March 15, 2026): Open to students with Odyssey of the Mind experience, recognizing creativity, perseverance, and personal growth through the OM program.
- Great Teachers Essay Contest (Deadline: March 22, 2026): Open to students in grades 9-12. Students will be required to write an essay about a teacher who has made a difference in their life.
- Horizon Scholarship (Deadline: March 27, 2026): Open to seniors with a GPA of a 2.5 or higher who are accepted as a full-time student at a college or university and are an active member in good standing of Horizon Federal Credit Union.
- Robert E. Barbour Scholarship Fund, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors in Lycoming County who plan to pursue a career as a pharmacist. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- Hailey L. Bilbay Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026): Open to LTHS seniors with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA who intend to pursue a degree in a health or medical-related field.
- Walter “Bud” Black Memorial Award, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who have demonstrated courage, a caring and cooperative attitude, and a generous spirit.
- John and Karen Blaschak Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to LTHS female seniors who participate in either tennis or cheerleading and have a minimum of a 80% overall GPA. Applicants must have demonstrated participation in the arts while in school (music, theatre, art, etc.) and plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college, university, or vocational program. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- Richard C. Haas Memorial Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who exemplify leadership in our school and local community.
- CAG Supporting Momentum Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors in Lycoming County high schools who plan to attend an accredited institution of higher education and have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B). This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- FCFP Regional Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to graduating students from a high school (public, private, parochial, or home-schooled) located in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, or Union County who plan to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school that offers a two (2) or four (4) year degree or certification program. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- Shirley Gray Rightmire Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors in Lycoming County high schools who plan to pursue a degree in Education. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- The Christian Houghtaling Memorial Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who are involved in the LTHS band and have an overall GPA of a 90% or higher.
- ISCALC International Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors in Lycoming County who plan to pursue major coursework in the area of international studies, including but not limited to international affairs, foreign languages, overseas exchange programs, multicultural studies, or related areas. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- Kenneth and Marcia Johnson Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors who reside in Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Tioga, Snyder, Sullivan, or Union County. Applicants must be accepted or currently enrolled into either a full-time accredited undergraduate degree program or accredited technical/trade school and have a demonstrated financial need. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- The Jack F. Kettler Jr. Memorial Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who have earned a minimum of a 90% overall GPA (weighted) and have played a sport for LTHS during their time in high school. The senior who receives this award must plan on attending a four year college or university.
- Richard P. Lauchle Forestry Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to students accepted or currently enrolled in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Forest Technology program or accepted or currently enrolled in any other accredited Forest Technology program. Student must be a current resident of Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Sullivan or Union Counties of Pennsylvania. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- Tim Lichter Memorial Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors who will attend, part-time or full-time, an accredited motorcycle mechanic school. Additional consideration will be given for automotive technology, service technician, or welding. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- Jody Lea Loudenslager Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors in Lycoming County who are a current Glenn O. Hawbaker employee or a child of a current Glenn O. Hawbaker employee. Student must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher education. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- Loyalsock Township Education Support Professionals Award, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who have been enrolled for the entire 2025-2026 school year. Applicants must be planning to attend an institution of higher learning after graduation.
- Lycoming Audubon Student Scholarship (Deadline: April 1, 2026): Open to all high school or college students who have demonstrated an interest in and action with birds and the environment or natural world.
- Shuman Miller Memorial Award, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who have demonstrated servant leadership by volunteering and participating in community service that improves the lives of others.
- Albert and Alice Nacinovich Music Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors in Lycoming County who plan to pursue a degree in music education or a music-related field of study and have maintained a grade point average of 80 or higher. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- PSCA 2026 Scholarship (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors planning to pursue a post-secondary education at a 2 or 4 year institution or trade school. Students must write an essay essay on a school counselor who has made a difference.
- Dr. Wayne F. Rose Scholarship, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who plan to pursue a degree in education. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- T-Ross Brothers Construction Scholarship I and II, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to seniors from a high school in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder or Union County who plan to attend an accredited college/university, vocational school or trade school and pursue a degree in a construction-related field of study. Must have maintained at least a B average. This award is sponsored through the First Community Foundation and applicants will need to create an account and complete their application in the FCP portal (which can be found by clicking on the name of this award).
- Ronald S. Warren Social Studies Award, (Deadline: April 1, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who have a 90% or higher GPA in their Social Studies coursework.
- Loyalsock Township Education Association Scholarship, (Deadline: April 3, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who intend to pursue a degree in education.
- The Hannah B. Lynn Scholarship, (Deadline: April 8, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors, this award recognizes students who possess an outstanding creative capacity in one or more artistic fields (music, photography, drawing, pottery, writing, poetry, etc.). Eligible applicants may plan to seek a bachelor’s degree, an associate degree, or a trade or vocational certification immediately upon graduation.
- American Legion Post #1 Scholarship, (Deadline: April 10, 2026): Open to LTHS seniors. Recipient must be of good moral character, have a good academic record, and demonstrated public service to the school and/or community.
- The DiMarco Scholarship Award, (Deadline: April 10, 2026): Open to LTHS seniors with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA who have learned the art of “balance” between their academics, involvement in school extracurricular activities, and an outside-of-school activity (this can include a part-time job, volunteerism, and/or an activity/leadership role that takes up a lot of time). Applicants must plan to pursue a degree at a 2 or 4-year school/program.
- Loyalsock Township Lions Club Scholarship, (Deadline: April 10, 2026): Open to LTHS seniors planning to attend a two or four-year college. The recipients must be of good moral character, have a good academic record, and demonstrated public service to the school and/or community.
- Loyalsock Creek Men’s Club Scholarship, (Deadline: April 15, 2026) – Open to seniors in Lycoming County with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and are planning to attend an accredited institution of high education or a technical school.
- The LTSD Athletic Director’s Award, (Deadline: April 15, 2026) – Open to LTHS student athletes. Applicants must have an overall GPA of a 95% or higher by the end of semester 1 of their senior year. Applicants may have never earned lower than an 80% in any course throughout their high school experience. Finally, applicants must have earned at least 5 Varsity letters throughout their time in high school (or awarded 4 as of mid-year and currently are participating in a spring sport). Note: Any student who applies for this award, meeting the above requirements, will be recognized as an LTSD Scholar Athlete at the Senior Award Ceremony.
- Nissa Myers Memorial Scholarship, (Deadline: April 15, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who have an overall GPA of a 2.7 or higher and treat others with respect and empathy. To be eligible, applicants must be planning to further their education in the fall of 2026 and majoring in one of the following: education, health/medical field, or an animal health profession.
- Pennsylvania House of Representatives Scholarship, (Deadline: April 15, 2026) – Open to seniors in Pennsylvania who plan to attend a Pennsylvania college, university, or career school as a full-time student. Applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA in high school, and have shown a commitment to community and demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Road to Safety Scholarship, (Deadline: April 15, 2026) – Open to seniors in Pennsylvania who plan to attend a college or university in the fall of 2026.
- Corporal Thomas D. West Memorial Award, (Deadline: April 15, 2026): Open to LTHS seniors class who are committed to pursuing a career in law enforcement. This award is given in memory of a true crimefighter.
- Robert W. Grantier Memorial Scholarship, (Deadline: April 17, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who are in good academic standing and possess strong leadership qualities in both the school and our community.
- Lester L. Greevy Memorial Athletic Scholarship, (Deadline: April 17, 2026) – Open to LTHS seniors who have demonstrated leadership, enthusiasm, dedication, courage, and have lettered in a varsity sport at LTHS.
- The PALCO Members Helping Members Scholarship, (Deadline: April 24, 2026): Open to seniors who are a member in good standing with PALCO Federal Credit Union for six months or more. Senior must be entering an accredited college, university, or other recognized institution of higher learning full time in the 2026-2027 school year.
- Tom Hardisky Memorial Scholarship, (Deadline: April 30, 2026): Open to seniors with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and are planning to continue their education.
- Mary Ann Fox Scholarship, (Deadline: May 11, 2026) – Open to seniors in Clinton or Lycoming County who are planning to attend full-time one of the following: Lock Haven University, Bucknell University, Lycoming College, Pennsylvania College of Technology or Pennsylvania State University.
- Abbott & Fenner Scholarship (Deadline: June 10, 2026): Open to juniors and seniors. Students are asked to write an essay describing their educational career and life goals.
- Taylor J. Ertel Scholarship for Foster Children, (Deadline: Open deadline) – Open to PA residents who have been placed in foster care by a child welfare agency at some point in their lives. Applicants have been admitted to a program of study: training may range from short vocational courses through college and graduate study.
