Navigating comfortably in a professional environment involves a series of important skills, from writing a compelling resume, to introducing yourself effectively to an employer, to acing a job interview, to using proper dining etiquette. Our services hone professional skills before students graduate. Getting “real world” experience as a student is important. And preparing for the process of applying for college, jobs and other experiential opportunities is critically important too.

 

Grades K-12 Comprehensive Career Development Program

This programs and services are provided to all students in the Loyalsock Township School District. We are very proud of our comprehensive career development program and the opportunities provided to all of our students to make an informed career-based decisions throughout their school career.

Career-Based Graduation Project

Our graduation project is a career-based project designed to help students determine what that first step will be – beyond high school graduation. The project begins in the sophomore year and concludes in the senior year. All students complete multiple career assessments (interest and aptitude), job shadows, an intensive resume writing and interviewing skills unit that concludes with a mock interview and much more.
