Below is a list of websites perfect for any Second Grader! They are great tools to keep them learning, exploring and practicing skills taught throughout the school year. Plus, they’re fun!

istation Log on to Imagination Station to work on your reading comprehension skills, decoding of words, and phonics! Use your I-station username and password from your agenda book.
Everyday MathEveryday Math brings our Second Grade games from the classroom into your home. These games will be taught and played throughout the school year. Practice numbers, money, addition or subtraction with these effective and super fun games. Use your username and password from your agenda book.
StarfallThis kid friendly site is great for giving students a virtual dive into the alphabet and reading. They are able to explore each letter and its sound(s) or read through a story at a beginners level. Have fun and make sure those speakers are on!
Does your little one want to become a better reader? If so, Samson will be a great new friend! His interactive games will allow you to learn, build and identify sight words. Brain Pop Jr.Explore all subjects in this super interactive website. Watch videos, play games, and learn concepts all related to standards taught throughout schools. Although this site requires an online subscription, it does offer FREE learning for everyone! This is one of my favorites.

Biography

Welcome to Mrs. Sarah Arrigonie’s or Mrs. A’s webpage! I am excited to share a little about our Learning Support program.  Mrs. Shannon Clune, Mrs. Heidi Tredinnick, and Ms. Lori Underwood are our wonderful classroom paraprofessionals.  This year we support students mainly in grades 4th and 5th.  If you need us we are located in room A19, but often can be found in Mrs. Francis’ or Mrs. Brown’s classrooms.

Class News

  • Please remember to check your child’s folder/binder and agenda each night. This is an excellent way for us to communicate!
  • Please help your child with his or her homework each night. If he or she has homework it will be written inside his or her agenda and placed inside his or her folder/binder.
  • The best times to call the classroom are 7:45-8:15 AM and 2:45-3:30 PM. (326-3554 x 1133)  Please let a message if I do not answer.  I am responsible for other duties and will often be out of the classroom.  Emailing me works great too – sarrigon@loyalsocklancers.org 
  • Remember our Learning Support team wants to help your child reach his/her potential and make the most progress possible!  If you have any concerns please contact me!  I love working with families and I recognize that we both have a lot to offer each other!
