WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (OCT. 20, 2026) — Loyalsock Township High School celebrated its 40th Homecoming on Oct. 16 during its football game against Shikellamy, honoring four decades of school tradition and marking a new chapter in Lancer history.
During the game’s halftime ceremony, senior Ryan Lingg was crowned the school’s first Homecoming King. Addison Barowy was crowned the 2026 Homecoming Queen, and Mia Girio was named Homecoming Princess.
The 2026 Homecoming Court featured 16 seniors: Addison Barowy, Cai Cassel, Karlee Brouse, Zane Ramos, Simone Gehr, Luke Edmonds, Mia Girio, Ronnie Emery, Peyton Kinsley, Evan Summers, Kaylene Kriner, David Bjorkman, Kaylee Kwasney, Jahvon La Rosa, Madelyn Williams and Ryan Lingg. Boys were included among the court members and on the ballot for Homecoming King for the first time.
According to the 1986-87 “Apalaco,” the school yearbook, Loyalsock’s inaugural Homecoming Court consisted of seven senior girls selected by their peers, along with their escorts. The original court included Joanne Little, Kristie Womer, Katy Stuempfle, Angie Fortier, Carolyn Fry, Renee Flock and Stacey Bailey. Their escorts were Ray Suhocki, Nate Craig, Cam Scampone, Craig Jerald, Jeff Ryan, Colin Manley and Matt Vogel.
The queen was selected by a vote of the student body and crowned during the football game against Montoursville. Carolyn Fry received the honor, with Angie Fortier named first runner-up.
Continuing the practice of welcoming back the previous year’s queen, LTHS invited 2025 Homecoming Queen Kendall Eichensehr to assist with the crowning ceremony. Eichensehr attends the University of Kentucky, where she studies communication sciences and disorders on the pre-speech path.
